Arturo Márquez
Mexican composer born in Alamos Sonora in 1950. In 1966 Márquez began his music training with Thomas Rosseti and Eva McGowen in La Puente Calif. In 1969-70 he was conductor of the Navojoa Sonora Band. He pursued his music studies at the Conservatory of Music of México, the Taller de Composición of the Institute of Fine Arts of México with Joaquín Gutiérrez Heras, Hector Quintanar, Raúl Pavón and Federico Ibarra, at Paris with Jacques Casterede and at the California Institute of the Arts with Morton Subotnick
